SOC Follow-Up Report – System-wide Draft Condition
DURATION OF EVENT
A system-wide Strained Operating Condition (“SOC”) for a Draft condition was declared by EPNG as follows:
Effective: Gas Day July 21, 2026
Imbalance Threshold: 5%
AFFECTED AREA(S)/LOCATION(S)
All shippers system-wide were subject to the requirements of the SOC declaration.
TIMELINE
[July 21, 2026, 6:25 am Mountain Daylight Time (“MDT”)] EPNG declared a system-wide SOC for a Draft condition effective Gas Day July 21, 2026, with the imbalance threshold set at 5% (Critical Notice No. 629052).
[July 22, 2026, 6:11 am MDT] EPNG lifted the subject system-wide SOC effective Gas Day July 22, 2026, (Critical Notice No. 629072).
APPLICABLE OPERATING CONDITIONS
Tuesday, July 21, 2026
- EPNG system linepack started the Gas Day at 7,507 MMcf, which was a decrease of 102 MMcf compared to the previous Gas Day.
- At 6:25 am MDT, EPNG declared a system-wide SOC for a Draft condition (Notice No. 629052) effective Gas Day July 21, 2026. The linepack draft was primarily due to deliveries in excess of scheduled volumes.
- Washington Ranch was on withdrawal, averaging 105 MMcf.
Wednesday, July 22, 2026
- EPNG system linepack started the Gas Day at 7,699 MMcf, which was an increase of 192 MMcf compared to the previous Gas Day.
- At 6:11 am MDT, EPNG lifted the system-wide SOC for a Draft condition (Notice No. 629072) effective Gas Day July 22, 2026. Customer response was sufficient to increase EPNG's linepack to acceptable levels.
- Washington Ranch was on withdrawal, averaging 107 MMcf.
ACTIONS TAKEN BY EPNG AND SHIPPERS
The following actions were taken:
1. EPNG declared a system-wide SOC for a Draft condition on July 21, 2026, at 6:25 am MDT. The system-wide SOC was in effect for Gas Day July 21, 2026, only.
2. After EPNG declared the system-wide SOC, customers took corrective actions to align their scheduled supplies with their actual deliveries.
