STRAINED OPERATING CONDITION (SOC) Declaration – System Wide Draft - Update #1
El Paso Natural Gas (EPNG) system linepack begins Gas Day January 23, 2026, at 8,393 MMcf, reflecting an increase of 420 MMcf from the start of Gas Day January 22.
The winter weather is forecast to move into the Permian Basin on Saturday with freezing temperatures persisting through Monday, Gas Day January 26. The loss of supply remains a concern and as such, the Strained Operating Condition (SOC) for a DRAFT condition, (Critical Notice No: 627332), will remain in effect for Gas Days January 23-25, 2026. EPNG requests that shippers and operators align scheduled volumes with actual deliveries to maintain system integrity.
Washington Ranch is on withdrawal.
