SOC Follow-Up Report – Location Specific Pack Condition

 

DURATION OF EVENT

A location-specific Strained Operating Condition (“SOC”) for a Pack condition was declared by EPNG as follows:

 

Effective: Gas Days December 10 through December 11, 2025.

 

Imbalance Threshold: 5%

TIMELINE

 

[December 10, 2025, 6:22 am Mountain Standard Time (MST)] EPNG declared a location-specific SOC for a Pack condition effective Gas Day December 10, 2025, with the imbalance threshold set at 5% (Critical Notice No. 626963).

 

[December 12, 2025, 6:57 am MST] EPNG lifted the subject location-specific SOC effective Gas Day December 12, 2025 (Critical Notice No. 626986).   

 

 

APPLICABLE OPERATING CONDITIONS

 

Wednesday, Gas Day December 10

 

--           EPNG's system linepack started the day at 8,033 MMcf, which was a decrease of 176 MMcf compared to the previous Gas Day.

 

--    At 6:22 am MST, EPNG declared a location-specific SOC for a Pack condition (Notice No. 626963) for the locations listed above effective Gas Day December 10.  In its notice, EPNG stated that continued packing of the system by the locations listed above would undermine EPNG's ability to maintain system linepack within acceptable levels and manage system integrity.

 

--    The locations listed above had packed EPNG's system by 177 MMcf during the prior three Gas Days.

 

--    Washington Ranch was on injection, averaging 99 MMcf.

 

Thursday, Gas Day December 11

 

-- EPNG's system linepack started the day at 7,901 MMcf, which was a decrease of 132 MMcf compared to the previous Gas Day.

 

--  Washington Ranch was on injection, averaging 57 MMcf.

 

Friday, Gas Day December 12

 

--  EPNG's system linepack started the day at 7,977MMcf, which was an increase of 76 MMcf compared to the previous Gas Day.

 

--            At 6:57 am MST, EPNG lifted the subject location-specific SOC for a Pack condition effective Gas Day December 12, 2025.  The locations listed above adjusted their scheduled quantities to align with actual deliveries.

 

--  Washington Ranch was idle.

 

ACTIONS TAKEN BY EPNG AND SHIPPERS 

 

The following actions were taken:

 

1.            EPNG contacted the interconnecting parties at the affected locations prior to declaring the SOC and requested that the scheduled quantities be adjusted to match the actual flowing gas quantities.

 

2.            EPNG declared a location-specific SOC for a Pack condition on December 10, 2025, at 6:22 am MST.  The SOC was in effect for Gas Day December 10, 2025, through Gas Day December 11, 2025.

 

3.            After EPNG declared the SOC, the affected customers took corrective action to align their scheduled supplies with their actual deliveries.
