SOC Lifted – System Wide PACK Condition
The Strained Operating Condition (“SOC”) for a Pack condition issued on March 18, 2025, (Critical Notice No. 624383) will be lifted effective Gas Day March 19, 2025. As such the SOC was in effect for Gas Day March 18, 2025 only.
The EPNG system linepack level starts Gas Day March 19, 2025, at 8,274 MMcf which is a decrease of 196 MMcf compared to the start of Gas Day March 18. The majority of the linepack decrease is related to Permian supply loss due to high winds and the loss of electrical power at the production facilities. With the loss of supply, EPNG anticipates that linepack will continue to decrease to an acceptable level and as such the SOC is being lifted to avoid swinging the linepack.
Delivery point operators are encouraged to continue to deliver gas according to their scheduled quantities. Supply operators are encouraged to reduce and/or maintain their deliveries into the EPNG system at their scheduled rates.
