Initial Force Majeure – El Paso D Station – Unit #4
El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) has experienced an equipment failure associated with its El Paso D Compressor Station Unit #4, located in El Paso County, Texas, and as such the unit is currently unavailable. Accordingly, the operational capacity through the L2000 constraint will be reduced by 85,450 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) effective on October 2, 2024, Timely Cycle (Cycle 1). The operational capacity through the CORNL2K constraint will be reduced by 73,607 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) effective on October 2, 2024, Timely Cycle (Cycle 1). The operational capacity through the ELPASO E constraint will be reduced by 76,407 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) effective on October 2, 2024, Timely Cycle (Cycle 1). EPNG will be posting an updated maintenance notice to reflect the total impact through the L2000, CORNL2K, and ELPASO E constraints.
EPNG will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This incident constitutes an event of Force Majeure under Section 11.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of EPNG's FERC Gas Tariff.
