Force Majeure – Line 2000 – Update #5
El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. ("EPNG") is providing this update to the Force Majeure notice originally posted August 15, 2021 (reference Critical Notice No. 612627), associated with the pipeline failure on Line 2000 near the town of Coolidge, Arizona.
EPNG has updated the capacity reductions for the month of November for the constraint locations associated with the Line 2000 outage and posted them on October 19, 2021 as part of the Preliminary November 2021 Maintenance notice (reference Critical Notice No. 613188). The updated capacity amounts are a result of base and net capacity changes for the month of November.
Finally, as a reminder, the pipeline failure remains under NTSB investigation and the entire Line 2000 system is under a reduced operating pressure. The reduced operating pressure in effect removes the Line 2000 system from service from Black River compressor station to the California border. EPNG does not have a timeframe for bringing the Line 2000 back to full service. Any specific questions related to operationally available capacity or unsubscribed capacity along this path should be directed to your marketing representative.
EPNG will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This incident constitutes an event of force majeure under EPNG's FERC Gas Tariff, General Terms and Conditions, Section 11.3.
