Gas Quality Impacts

Wyoming Interstate Company, L.L.C. (WIC) previously posted (see Notices #123164 and #123193) that it received notices from downstream pipeline operators in the Cheyenne area (Segments 443-450) that WIC is delivering gas with carbon dioxide (CO₂) in excess of its 2% by volume Tariff specifications.  This has led some downstream pipeline operators to cut volumes at WIC receipts into their systems.  WIC has identified off-spec CO₂ volumes from two receipt interconnects with Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) in the Cheyenne area at (FLY) Flying Hawk PIN #800245 and (BOW) Bowie PIN #800104.  At this time, WIC has determined that performance caps may be required at FLY in accordance with this notice.  If the CO₂ content at FLY is not reduced to 2% by volume or less by the Timely cycle for gas day September 9, 2026, WIC will place performance caps at this interconnect to reduce volumes sufficient to achieve 2% or less CO₂ content in the Cheyenne area.  WIC continues to monitor CO₂ content at BOW, and further action may be required.
