EMERGENT REPAIR MLV 234 TO MLV 235 EFFECTIVE 6-26-2021 ESCALATED TO A FORCE MAJEURE EFFECTIVE 7-23-2021
Pursuant to Article XII of the General Terms and Conditions of Tennessee's FERC Gas Tariff, Tennessee posted a notice of an emergent repair issue between MLV 234 to MLV 235 on Line 1 near Ontario County, NY on June 26, 2021 (Notice Identifier #379345). Tennessee identified an issue that required investigation and repair of the pipeline in this valve section. Effective immediately for today's gas day, July 23, 2021, and until further notice, Tennessee is hereby escalating this emergent repair issue to a Force Majeure.
The investigation and planning for the pipeline repairs between MLV 234 and 235 is ongoing. Tennessee is developing plans to repair and return the pipe to service. To date, there have been no customer impacts due to this issue. Effective July 24, 2021 Tennessee's Line 1 from Station 230 to 237 will be operating at reduced pressures until further notice.
Tennessee posts an estimated available capacity at key points along the pipeline system. The posted capacity can change due to changes in nominations, confirmations, system balancing, and the operational integrity of the system. Based on current operating conditions, the estimated available capacity at Segment 230 BH and Segment 233 West FH will be reduced. This reduction in capacity may impact In the Path services depending on demand. Additionally, due to reduced operating pressures in the segment areas, the following meters may also be at risk through 100% of Secondary Receipt Point and Displacement nominations as early as Timely Cycle for Gas Day of Tuesday, July 27, 2021:
412856 EMPIREPL/TGP CANANDAIGUA
420526 HONEOYE/TGP HONEOYE
412870 EGTS/TGP CRAIGS
Tennessee apologizes for any inconvenience to its customers to the extent any service restrictions are required during this unplanned outage. Tennessee remains focused on returning to normal operating conditions on these segments. Tennessee will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
