Interruptible Storage Restrictions – Update #5 As posted in SNG's previous notice on December 23, 2024 (#710196), Southern has issued a restriction on Interruptible Storage services in order to preserve firm storage obligations and deliverability.
Effective gas day, Saturday, January 4, 2025 and continuing until further notice, Southern will allow Storage transfers to be submitted in Dart up to 10,000 Dth/d from a Shipper's firm storage (CSS) account to an ISS account.
Transfers submitted in excess of 10,000 Dth/d will not be approved.
As a reminder, the following restrictions remain in effect until further notice. 1. No additional ISS injection nominations will be accepted. 2. SNG will not confirm any new Park contracts under the Daily Rate Service.
3. Resolution of long end-of-the-month imbalances via a transfer to a Shipper's ISS account will be evaluated for available capacity. If the total of all such transfer requests exceed available capacity, SNG will allocate ISS capacity on a pro rata basis based on each shipper's requested ISS compared to the total ISS requested for long imbalance resolution. Shippers will be able to resolve long monthly balances using other applicable provisions, including cash out, imbalance trading, resolution via its CSS account or a third-party CSS on SNG and third-party storage directly connected to SNG.
Please note that firm storage transactions are NOT being restricted. SNG will continue to evaluate system conditions and advise shippers when it can lift these restrictions. Please call your Scheduling Representative or Account Manager if you have questions about this notice.
