Pipeline Conditions - Winter Weather Forecast for Permian Supply Basin – Update #1
EPNG remains concerned about the Permian supply basin winter weather which continues to be forecast to move in on Thursday morning. (Reference Critical Notice No: 616863) Permian Basin temperatures overnight are forecast to be in the low teens and persist through Sunday. The potential exists for supply shortfalls due to freeze‐offs. Drafting of the system will undermine our efforts to maintain adequate delivery supply pressures during the forecasted weather.
As a reminder (Reference Critical Notice No. 616708 Force Majeure – Line 2000 – Update #17), the pipeline failure associated with Line No. 2000 is under a PHMSA order and the entire Line No. 2000 system remains under a reduced operating pressure. The reduced operating pressure reduces usable linepack, thereby hindering EPNG'S flexibility to absorb imbalances on either the receipt or delivery sides of its system.
Washington Ranch is on withdrawal.
Delivery point operators are encouraged to review their transport to ensure that their takes are in balance with their supplies and to ensure their scheduled supplies are performing as expected. Underperformance caps will be placed on non‐performing supplies.
