Gas Quality - Underperformance
Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) previously posted (see Notice #123210) that if the carbon dioxide (CO2) content at a number of CIG High Plains receipt point was not reduced to a level that is sufficient for CIG to meet the Wyoming Interstate Company, L.L.C (WIC) maximum CO2 specification at the (FLY) Flying Hawk interconnect by the Timely Cycle, September 9, 2026, CIG will begin place underperformance caps on these locations to reduce the CO2 content of the blended gas being physically delivered to WIC to less than 2%.
While the CIG tariff specification for CO2 is higher than WIC's, Section 3.1 of the General Terms and Conditions (GT&C) of the Second Revised Volume No. 1 of CIG's FERC Gas Tariff (Tariff) provides, among other things, that CIG may decline to receive Gas at any Point of Receipt if the quality of the Gas is inferior to that “required by Shipper or a third Party at any Point of Delivery under the Agreement," notwithstanding Sections 3.1 through 3.3 of the GT&C of the Tariff.
CO2 content at the following locations has not been reduced to a level that is sufficient for CIG to meet WIC's maximum CO2 specification. Therefore, effective for the Timely Cycle, September 9, 2026, CIG will be placing underperformance caps on these locations to reduce the CO2 content of the blended gas being physically delivered to WIC to less than 2%, until further notice.
