Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) previously posted on August 10, 2026 (see Notice 123165) that it was notified by Wyoming Interstate Company, L.L.C. (WIC) that CIG's delivery interconnects at (FLY) Flying Hawk PIN #800245 and (BOW) Bowie PIN #800104 are providing gas exceeding WIC's Tariff maximum specification for carbon dioxide (CO₂) of 2% by volume.

CIG reminds its shippers that if the CO₂ content at these delivery interconnects cannot be reduced to 2% or less, WIC may place performance caps for gas quality at these interconnects to reduce volumes sufficient to achieve a gas quality for CO₂ of 2% or less.

While the CIG tariff specification for CO₂ is higher than WIC's, Section 3.1 of the General Terms and Conditions (GT&C) of the Second Revised Volume No. 1 of CIG's FERC Gas Tariff (Tariff) provides, among other things, that CIG may decline to receive Gas at any Point of Receipt if the quality of the Gas is inferior to that required by Shipper or a third Party at any Point of Delivery under the Agreement," notwithstanding Sections 3.1 through 3.3 of the GT&C of the Tariff. If WIC places performance caps at these two interconnects, CIG may subsequently place performance caps for gas quality on CIG Points of Receipt that exhibit the highest CO₂ content to reduce the CO₂ of the blended gas being physically delivered to WIC at these two interconnects to less than 2%.
