Cold Weather Alert
Due to the forecasted severe cold weather forecasted to begin this coming weekend, Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) is anticipating an increase in demand on its system which will limit its ability to manage imbalances associated with supply shortfalls. Therefore, when necessary to minimize imbalances and protect system integrity, underperformance caps may be placed on nonperforming receipt points effective the next available nomination cycle until further notice.
Pursuant to CIG's FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, Part IV: GT&C Section 3.5(b and c), CIG is notifying shippers and operators that as the forecasted severe, cold weather enters the market area, CIG may temporarily extend the Wobbe range for the Valley Line, Derby Lake Point of Delivery, the 24B pipeline and the 9B pipeline from the 1,195 to 1,285 range up to 1,320. If the Wobbe numbers reach 1,320 for the Valley Line, Derby Lake Point of Delivery and Points of Delivery on the 24B pipeline and the 9B pipeline, and CIG is unable to maintain Wobbe numbers at 1,320, then CIG may extend the Wobbe range for the Derby Lake Point of Delivery and Points of Delivery on 24B pipeline and the 9B pipeline up to 1,352.
Please monitor the weather forecast to assist you in matching supply nominations to the anticipated demand.
