IMBALANCE WARNING SYSTEM WIDE (EXCLUDING SOUTH OF STA 1) EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2016
Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) has limited operational flexibility
to manage imbalances system wide. Effective Chart Time on Friday, May 27, 2016, due to milder weather, limited storage and anticipated swings to the pipe during the holiday weekend, TGP requires all delivery point operators (excluding south of STA 1) to keep actual daily takes out of the system equal to or greater than scheduled quantities regardless of their cumulative imbalance position. All receipt point operators (excluding south of STA 1) are required to keep actual daily receipts into the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities regardless of their cumulative imbalance position. In addition, it is essential that delivery point operators and receipt point operators schedule gas at meters commensurate with receipts out of the system or deliveries into the system. Balancing across OBAs with meters not included in the zone 0 area will not be permitted.
Tennessee requires your compliance with this notice to avoid the necessity of taking further actions including utilizing contract or meter specific Operational Flow Orders or flow control to maintain operational integrity. As a reminder, penalties for non-compliance of an OFO can range from $.2198 per dth to $15.00 plus the highest regional spot price per dth.
Additionally, Tennessee would like to remind all operators/agents of power plants directly connected to TGP of certain parameters of FERC Order 698 requirements. TGP requires that all power plant operators submit burn profiles and nominations prior to gas flow. The burn profiles should be sent to TGPGasControl@Kindermorgan.com. The latest burn profile template can be found by accessing the TGP web site and following the steps below.
