Based on the performance of the following interconnect for 4/28/2017, Colorado Interstate Gas Company will be placing an underperformance cap at the following location(s) effective immediately. This will remain in effect until further notice:
- Lancaster, (LAN) 800360, CIG
- Watkins, (WAT) 800759, CIG
An "Underperformance Cap" or "Cap" is a nomination reduction process performed by the pipeline prior to the Capacity Allocation process in each Nomination Cycle. The purpose is to minimize interconnect-to-interconnect imbalances by reducing the quantity of gas confirmed so that scheduled nominations are more in line with the actual quantity physically flowing at the point. The imposition of underperformance caps are intended to ensure safe pipeline operations, reliable service to shippers, and reliable interconnect performance.
